Workshops

Three workshops organised by NEEMO Partners in Cyrpus, Austria and France. These workshops are open to MCAST academics, staff, early-stage researchers, students as well as other interested researchers from Malta.  Interested candidates are to contact the Project Manager with a proposed contribution three months before the workshop.

Third NEEMO Workshop

  • The third NEEMO workshop was organised by our Austrian partner  Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT). It took place between the 1st and 2nd of June, 2022 in Vienna.

First NEEMO Workshop (Part B)

  • The second part of the first NEEMO workshop was orginised by our Cypriot Partner, Nicosia Development Agency (ANEL). The final part of the workshop on Electric Mobility, entitled “Local situation analysis”. The workshop took place in Cyprus on 27-29 September 2022 in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Second NEEMO Workshop 

  • The second NEEMO workshop was organised by our partner French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). It took place between the 6th till the 8th of July 2021 at at the INES site in Chambery, France.

MCAST Energy Research Group has travelled to Chambery for the second NEEMO Workshop

 

Partners of NEEMO project finally met in person for the needs of the 2nd NEEMO workshop at CEA INES Facility in Chambery.

 

Philippe Marechal of CEA demonstrated during the NEEMO workshop, the LITEN’s smart grid platform, and the embedded energy management system for data analysis and Microgrid management for providing grid based services.

 

A few interesting Power Electronics activities were presented by Luis Alves Rodriguez during the second day of the NEEMO School, followed by their visit to their laboratory at CEA at Chambery. Their primary focus of work is the development of Advanced High Voltage Current Source Inverter Technology for grid integration.

First NEEMO Workshop (Part A)
