Our Research on Grid Forming applications in a Maltese feeder was published and presented in IEEE ISGT US at New Orleans

Our Research on the comparison of frequency support provided by Grid Forming and Grid Following inverters in applications such as PVs and EVs, in a Maltese feeder was published and presented by Dr SOmesh Bhttacharya at New Orleans (US) during the recent IEEE ISGT US.

The Thirteenth Conference on Innovative Smart Grid Technologies (ISGT 2022), sponsored by the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES), was held in April 24 – 28, 2022 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.

This year’s theme for the Thirteenth Conference on Innovative Smart Grid Technologies (ISGT 2022) was “Moving to a 3-D Energy Landscape: Decarbonized, Democratized, Decentralized”.

Our work demonstrated the dynamics of grid-forming PVs with the introduction of several non-linear Induction motor and EV charger loadings.

This research collaboration was performed together with the Principal Investigator of NEEMO project Dr Inġ. Brian Azzopardi. This work was also partly supported by JUMP2Excel Project.
